Raytheon is developing an NGSRI solution to eventually replace the Stinger® surface-to-air missile. NGSRI is designed to fit the existing Stinger Vehicle Universal Launch system and the man-portable system.
Raytheon completed 10 successful NGSRI subsystem demonstrations, showcasing advanced maturity and capability.
The tests – key to ensuring alignment with the Army’s requirements – involved NGSRI’s seeker, rocket motor, command launch assembly and warhead. Additional critical missile functions were demonstrated, including tracking, guidance, aerodynamic control, fuzing, and safety.
Leveraging more than 60 years of mission area expertise, Raytheon’s modern system design and engineering practices apply advanced manufacturing techniques to increase production speed while meeting or exceeding customer performance requirements.
