American Indian Science and Engineering Society

AISES is a national nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other indigenous peoples of North America in STEM studies and careers. RTX serves as a key corporate advisor to AISES by serving on its Corporate Partnership Council.

Career Communications Group is an industry-leading media company that supports organizations in promoting diversity in STEM fields through major national conferences, publications and websites.

  • Black Engineer of the Year Awards
    BEYA is a signature event of the Career Communication Group. Members of the STEM community unite at the BEYA STEM Conference to connect and learn from each other, celebrate excellence in the workplace, nurture the STEM pipeline and, most important, hire from the pool of a highly qualified and prepared workforce.
  • Women of Color STEM Conference
    WOC STEM is also a signature event of the Career Communications Group. Women of Color magazine's annual STEM Conference offers both valuable career networking opportunities and prestigious award ceremonies. Attendees have the opportunity to meet and learn from executives representing Fortune 500 companies that are committed to diversity and advancement of women in the workforce.

Disability:IN

Disability:IN is the leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide. Their network of over 220 corporations expands opportunities for people with disabilities across enterprises. Disability:IN provides mentorship to people with disabilities as well as consulting to help corporations become more accessible and inclusive. RTX is a member of Disability:IN’s Inclusion Works Council.

Executive Leadership Council

The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is a national organization comprising current and former Black CEOs and senior executives at Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies. For more than 33 years, the ELC has worked to build an inclusive business leadership pipeline. They channels of opportunity for the development of Black executives to positively impact business and our communities.

In 2020, they were proud to launch the annual RTX Scholarship Program in partnership with the ELC.

Great Minds in STEM

Established in 1989 as the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation, Great Minds in STEM is a nonprofit organization that focuses on STEM educational awareness programs from kindergarten through post graduate and onto career development. GMiS provides resources for recognition and recruitment of Hispanics in STEM on a national level, connecting areas of engineering and science to the general population. RTX partners with GMiS, with many hispanic RTX employees winning the organizations HENAAC Awards in previous years.


Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility

Founded in 1986, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is one of the most influential advocacy organizations in the nation, representing 14 national Hispanic organizations in the United States and Puerto Rico. RTX is one of 25 Vanguardia members of the organization.


Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign is America's largest advocate for LGBTQ+ equality. RTX has pledged to sponsor HRC as a platinum corporate member to help support the organization’s mission. RTX received a perfect 100 score from HRC’s Corporate Equality Index for its own efforts in supporting LGBTQ+ equality. RTX sponsors HRC as a platinum corporate member, allowing the organization to continue its important work fostering inclusion, equality and understanding.


Military Spouse Employment Partnership

The Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) connects military spouses with hundreds of partner employers who have committed to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses.RTX partners with MSEP to connect military spouses with employment opportunities. MSEP currently has more than 400 partners, which combined, have hired over 139,000 military spouses. 


National Society of Black Engineers

NSBE supports students and professionals in engineering and technology. Their goal is to increase the number of black engineers who succeed professionally and have a positive impact in their community. RTX is a top corporate and strategic partner and also serves on its Board of Corporate Affiliates.


Out & Equal

Out & Equal is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality. The organization hosts summits where thousands of LGBTQ+ employees, HR professionals and organizational representatives can receive training and networking opportunities. RTX participates in Out & Equal's annual summit, attends its executive forum and provides employees access to inclusive educational resources.

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

oSTEM is a nonprofit professional association for LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community. oSTEM empowers LGBTQ+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership and advocacy. RTX is a member of oSTEM, convening with members on LGBTQ+ issues through the organization's Professional Development Summit and Annual Conference.


Society of Asian Scientists & Engineers

SASE is dedicated to the advancement of Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment. SASE also encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities in which they live. RTX serves as a key corporate advisor to SASE by participating on its Organizational Advisory Council.


Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

SHPE is the nation’s largest association dedicated to growing Hispanic leadership in the STEM field. The organization has been supporting Hispanic students and professionals in STEM for almost half a century. RTX is a member of SHPE's Industry Partnership Council. RTX and SHPE also have united to support parents of first-generation and low-income students who are pursuing engineering degrees. The Equipando Padres (Equipping Parents) program focuses on supporting these guardians to better help their children earning engineering degrees.

Society of Women Engineers

With over 42,000 members around the world, SWE is the world’s largest advocate for women in engineering and technology. For more than 60 years, the organization has helped women grow their careers and voices in the engineering industry. RTX serves on the Society of Women Engineers Corporate Partnership Council.

 

Thurgood Marshall College Fund

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund is an American non-profit organization that supports and represents nearly 300,000 students attending its 47 member-schools that include public historically black colleges and universities, medical schools, and law schools. The RTX NextGen Pipeline Program focuses on providing real-world skills, experience and potential job placement opportunities for engineering, technology, finance and supply chain students.

 

NAF

NAF is a national education non-profit that addresses the economic and social disparities that have marginalized too many high school students and their communities by bringing schools and businesses together to better prepare students for college, career, and future success. RTX’s partnership with NAF gives students access to high-quality engineering and tech curriculum in high school so they’re prepared for college and careers in those fields. RTX stays connected to the students and invites them to apply to early career opportunities once they graduate college. And if they feel college is not the right choice for them, they have options at our company for high-quality jobs in STEM straight from high school.

 

Student Veterans of America

Through a network of nearly 1,600 on-campus chapters, Student Veterans of America® ensures that student veterans and military-connected students achieve their greatest potential. The organization’s mission is to act as a catalyst for student veteran success by providing resources, network support and advocacy to, through, and beyond higher education. RTX partners with SVA to provide veterans with employment opportunities, helping diversify their talent pipeline.
